Progress

Some weeks are slow progress for Ollie and some weeks he has learnt many toddler-like skills seemingly very quickly.

He has good concentration and a good memory so we are working on this and how to extend that and test and challenge him through play therapy.

He is a complete warrior child for what he has to deal with. If somebody said to me in April - in six months time he would be cruising furniture, 4 point crawling or playing independently I am not sure I would have believed them!

Some days feel hopeless, but most weeks feel joyous as I watch him grasp something new at a quicker speed than before.

Just because he may not be making ‘fast’ progress, does not mean he is not making progress. We must keep going. Keep pushing forward. Keep it up. I know he is going to surprise me with all he can do. I have faith in him to hold on for the ride and be the best that he can be.
